Out of Richmond we hit I64W on to I81S. With highway speed limits at 70mph we covered a fair bit of ground. Ending somewhere near 500 miles today. Just shy of Knoxville TN we headed south to Gatlinburg (check out link above) We hit a ton of traffic prior to Gatlinburg in a huge resort town called Pigeon Forge. No impressive photos to share today as with the traffic we spent over 10 hours in the truck. Anna did amazing and after we finally found a cheap, clean hotel ($39) to stay in Erin and I had wings & pizza and are now also happy. Washing dinner down with red wine now...
Tomorrows plan was to hit Memphis TN however Erin just reminded me that there may be something cool in Nashville. We'll see.
The drive today was packed with beautiful landscape but I'm afraid it was not easy to capture on camera. What photos we did pull off are below. The last two shots is the view from our near shady hotel. For the record... we did not visit either Elvis's place or Cupids.
