We are officially on Mountain Time ~ After a good nights rest, finally, we headed off to make our way to New Mexico. We hit some storms on our way out, but just shortly after we crossed the state line the sun came out. New mexico is much more scenic than Texas. Got some pics here of the storm as it rolled in. To give you an idea of of dark it got, keep in mind that this was just after sunrise and the pics were taken at about 7:30 am.
It was pouring rain as we crossed the state line, so we were not able to be in the picture. All these pics are in sequential order. We have been jumping on and off of historic Rt. 66, and on our way into New Mexico we reached the official Rt. 66 Midway point. There is a very cute little restaurant there with a gift shop. Since this was the beginning of our days drive, We just took the pictures and kept going.
